It is a beautiful sunny town. It is quite expensive to rest here due to the few hotels. But clean sidewalks, smooth roads, neat wooden houses and resinous pine air mixed with the sea are worth every euro spent.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Dunes and beaches of Nida<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Curonian Spit National Park is the main attraction of Nida. Here are the highest (up to 70 m) dunes in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cleanest sandy beaches of Nida, marked with the Blue Flag, are strikingly different from the Curonian ones. There are few people here: the water in the Baltic Sea is cold even in summer, and a strong wind carrying grains of sand does not cause the most pleasant sensations. Also note that there are no sun loungers, umbrellas, showers and other beach attributes in the vicinity. But all this is in the neighbouring villages of the spit, for example, Juodkrante.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Attractions and infrastructure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nida has original architecture in the original Curonian style. The dark red houses are decorated with white architraves, and the pediments are carved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The historical museum is the most popular in the city. In it you will see finds from the Neolithic period, telling about the life of people of that period. There are also boats with fishing nets and devices for catching crows. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the traditional trade of the Kursenieks was salting the meat of these birds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pay attention to the Amber Museum, located in the old fisherman&#8217;s house. The museum exhibits a large number of stones, among which there is a giant cobblestone weighing 3820 g.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dune of Parnidis is another place worth visiting.
