Edmonton is the capital of the province of Alberta in Canada. Founded in 1795, the city became an outpost for the development of the lands of the north and west of Canada. Nowadays, Edmonton is a major commercial, industrial and cultural center of the country.

Alberta Legislature is a beautiful colonial-style building built in 1911 after Edmonton was chosen as the provincial capital. In summer, there is a swimming pool, and in winter, an ice rink is flooded, and free tours are held.
