Most tourists come to Miami to sunbathe on the beaches, look at celebrities and dance in clubs. Nevertheless, the city has many interesting sights.
Vizcaya Villa is one of the main attractions. This is a large architectural and landscape complex with luxurious gardens and unusual buildings. The villa itself was built in the Mediterranean Renaissance style with Baroque elements.
The Gianni Versace Mansion is a more modern cultural and architectural value of Miami. There are spectacular handmade frescoes and a 16-meter swimming pool with solid gold mosaics.
Coral Castle is one of the most unusual tourist spots in the city. It was single-handedly built by the Latvian emigrant Edward Lidskalnin. The castle is a complex of many megaliths weighing up to 30 tons.
The bright yellow Freedom Tower is one of Miami’s most recognizable symbols. It houses the Museum of Modern Art and Miami-Dade College offices.
The Everglades National Park is a 30-minute drive from Miami. It occupies almost a fifth of the territory of Florida, here you can go canoeing and kayaking, go fishing, go on a themed ecotour.
