Costa Dorada – stretches for 140 km from the town of Vilanova i la Geltru, to the lagoons and rice fields of the Ebro Valley. The Costa Dorada gets its name from its fine golden sand beaches, most of which have been awarded a Blue Flag.

The main resorts of the Costa Dorada
Salou is the tourist capital of the Costa Dorada, with wide beaches stretching from Cape La Pineda to the resort town of Cambrils. Beautiful promenades stretch along the beaches with numerous shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. And the light and music fountain is rightfully considered the most beautiful on the coast.
Sitges is an old Catalan city. The old quarters, arches and narrow streets of the old city attract tourists not only with their architecture and museums but also with cosy bars, cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and art workshops.
Cambrils is an old fishing port and now one of the best resorts on the coast with excellent beaches, colonial-style architecture, and the Emerald Museum.
Tarragona is the capital of the province of the same name with a long history. It is believed that Tarragona received the status of a Roman colony from Julius Caesar, and the Apostle Paul converted the inhabitants of the city to Christianity.
La Pineda is a new lively resort centre near Tarragona. The city stretches along a long strip of sandy beaches with rare rocky bays and cosy quiet lagoons.
