Sights of Gdansk

A tourist in every trip is looking for something different. Some people want to learn and see as many new things as possible, others are looking for the streets of Old Europe untouched by time, and still others want only the sea. If at the same time tourists want the seaside city to have a rich history, an abundance of interesting places and impeccable European style, then they can safely recommend a trip to the Polish city of Gdansk.

Entertainment and attractions of Gdansk

In the summer, various festivals and concerts are often held in Gdansk. Here, as part of the Open Air Theater Festival, you can listen to sonnets, watch performances or go to the port to watch the Baltic Sail sailing rally. Also, in the port, there is the main attraction of the Maritime Museum – the Zhurav crane.

Or just walk for hours in the cozy cobbled streets of the Old Town, walk along the Royal Route and feel like kings who have come to Gdansk. You can admire the view of the embankment of the Motława River. Listen to a concert of organ music in Maryack Basilica of the Church of the Holy Virgin Mary. In the city of Olive there is an organ decorated with moving figures.

Be sure to visit a sea excursion on a real sailboat.

Shopping and shops

Gdansk can be called the honorary capital of the world in everything related to amber. Therefore, the main souvenirs should be all kinds of amber jewelry, paintings, mouthpieces and other products.

An interesting gift, reflecting the features of the port city, will be a boat in a bottle from local craftsmen.
